Véronique DESCHEPPER

Véronique Deschepper is an emerging Belgian painter with over twenty years of experience. A graduate in visual arts, she honed her mastery pigments through art restoration work during her studies at the Fine Arts Academy in Charleroi. Passionate about sharing her knowledge, she also established a multidisciplinary workshop for children, passing on her love for art to the younger generation. Véronique's work is characterised by a subtle exploration of space, materiality, and horizon. Her paintings-created primarily in oil on canvas using wide, flat brushes (*spalters*)-are distinguished by delicate, layered gradients that evoke a sense of calme and serenity. The artist constructs a world where abstraction and representation coexist harmoniously, inviting the viewer into a state of inner contemplation. Véronique draws inspiration from her extensive travels, particularly in the Far North and Africa. These experiences enrich her palette and fuel a sensitive, introspective imagination, which is evident in every brushstroke. Her works evoke infinite horizons and ethereal clouds, resulting in landscapes that are simultaneously real and imagined.
