Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is MomentumArt by Symbiosis, VAT BE0523.921.942, Zeedijk 640, 8300 Knokke-Heist, Belgium, operating Momentum Art Gallery Knokke. Contact for any privacy question: info@momentartgallery.com, +32 (0) 50 62 55 60.
What we collect
Enquiries (price requests, private viewings, leasing and contact forms): your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your message, a preferred date for viewings, the page you sent it from and your language.
Newsletter: your email address and language.
Online purchases: your name, email, phone, delivery and billing address. Card details are entered on Stripe's payment page and never reach us.
Visit statistics: anonymous, aggregated page views and performance measurements. They use no cookies and do not identify you.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
To answer your enquiry and arrange viewings, quotes or leasing proposals (steps you ask for before a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
To sell, deliver and invoice a work you buy, and to meet accounting and tax obligations (contract and legal obligation, art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
To send the newsletter you signed up for (consent, art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time.
To keep the website secure and working, and to understand which pages are useful (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)).
Who receives it
Only the gallery team reads your enquiries. We use service providers that process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement: Vercel (website hosting and storage, servers in the EU), Resend (email delivery, EU region), Stripe (payments) and FedEx (delivery of purchased works).
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Transfers outside the EEA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: 24 months after they arrive, then deleted automatically, unless they lead to a sale or lease.
Purchase and invoice records: 7 years, as Belgian accounting law requires.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. Write to info@momentartgallery.com; we answer within one month.
You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
